Zugiblubbi from the moors

This little blue-grey figure has by now become the mascot of the Zugerberg. You see him everywhere - on the Zugerberg on story-telling days, or on the ski slopes, or at the Zug Trade Fair or even on Fairytale Sunday in Zug - and wherever he goes, he enchants children and adults with his stories, and children in particular have really come to love him.

Fairy-story narrator, Kathi Leutwyler, is behind the idea of Zugiblubbi. She invented the character and the stories in collaboration with Zug Tourism and the Zugerbergbahn AG. The stories are built round our Zugiblubbi, the little spirit from the moors: he tells lots of secrets about things that happened long ago on the Zugerberg, and sometimes even takes on an educational role! The wooden figures on the Sculpture Trail are given voices and animal hearts, and the stories are told using marionettes.
