Lake Festival (30 June 2012)
The biggest event in Canton Zug is the Lake Festival, which attracts around 20'000 visitors, and is organised and run by the Voluntary Fire Service of Zug town.
Along the lake promenade various bistros and stalls offer a large variety of food and refreshments. The highlight is the gigantic firework display with music at around 10.30 p.m. The festivities begin at 5 p.m. when different well-known bands and orchestras offer a varied programme late into the night. Then at about 01.45 a.m. the Fire Service offers bus services to make sure that all our guests get home safely.
