Alpen Quay
You will find the words "Deep in Thought" chiselled into a large stone right by the lake at "Alpenquai", created by Andrea Wolfensberger (born 1961) from Zurich.
Here she puts into words the reaction of many who look out over the beautiful lake panorama, but the words are also a memorial to the disaster of 6 July 1887 when two rows of houses, which stood where the Rigi Square and the so-called Catastrophe Bay are now, sank into the lake.
